    Evidence

    • Croatian Roots: Coordinate certified translations with our court-certified translators in Zagreb.

    Application

    Lodge the application yourself, with the file already complete.

    • You: Lodge the application in person: at the Croatian consulate that covers you, or at the police administration for where you live in Croatia.
    • Croatian Roots: Draft the application, the letter of intent and the CV, and assemble every annex.
    • Croatian Roots: Proofread the whole file and brief you on the appointment before you go.

    Representation

    Our lawyers enter the case and carry it to the decision.

    • You: Sign the power of attorney once the application has been lodged.
    • Croatian Roots: Partner lawyers join the case under power of attorney and stay on it until it closes.
    • Croatian Roots: Track the file, answer Ministry requests, and supplement or amend it as the case requires.

    Registration

    Turn the decision into documents you can actually use.

    • You: Collect the identity card and passport once they are issued.
    • Croatian Roots: Enter your birth, marriage and children in the Croatian registries.
    • Croatian Roots: Arrange the OIB, then the identity card and passport.

Preparation moves as fast as records can be found. The Ministry’s review and consular waiting times are set by the authorities and no package shortens them.

Q1What if I am not sure who my Croatian ancestor was?

Start with the free check and answer what you know. If the line is unclear, the Case Review is where we read what you actually have and say, in writing, what would need to be proven.

We do not take a case forward on a lineage that cannot be evidenced, and we say so early.

Q2Which documents will I need?

Civil records for each generation between you and the Croatian-born ancestor, plus that ancestor’s Croatian birth or baptismal record.

Foreign records need an apostille and a certified Croatian translation. The Case Review ends with a checklist for your line.

Q3What does the price cover, and what is extra?

Each price is a one-time fee for our work. State, embassy and apostille fees are extra, at cost. Retrieving records from Croatian archives is included with Full Representation and an add-on (from 120 €) with the other two.

Certified translations are billed at 30 € per page, unless you take Full Representation at 1900 €, which includes every translation your file needs.

The three prices cover the usual routes. A case that turns on a particular status, or one that does not fit a package, is quoted individually before any work starts.

Q4Is it cheaper if several of us apply together?

Yes. From 2 applicants descending from the same ancestor, the line research, the archive retrieval and most of the Croatian records are shared, so we build a family package at a reduced price per person rather than charging a full package each.

Tell us who is applying and how you are related, and we come back with a written figure for the group.

Q5Do I have to travel to Croatia or a consulate?

You lodge the application in person, at the Croatian consulate that covers you or at the police administration for where you live in Croatia. The Citizenship Act requires the applicant to file in person; it cannot be done by post or by proxy. We prepare everything you hand over.

Once it is lodged, our partner lawyers enter the case under power of attorney and run it from there, so you do not have to go back.

Q6How long does it take?

Preparation depends on where your records are and moves faster with help.

The Ministry’s review and consular waiting times are set by the authorities. No package shortens them.

Q7What happens after the free check?

An automated preliminary result appears immediately, no account needed, with the records your line will need and an estimate of the third-party costs.

If it points to a pathway, the next step is the 150 € Case Review, where we go through your documents, settle the pathway with our partner lawyers and put it in writing. Credited in full against Guided Submission or Full Representation.

Q8Why don’t you offer a free consultation?

A free consultation is a sales call. The person on it is paid to convert you, which is why it is free and why it ends with a quote rather than an answer.

Ours is paid so that we can tell you no. The Case Review ends with a written opinion on your line, a document checklist and a cost estimate, and it is yours to keep, take elsewhere or use on your own.

If you go ahead with Guided Submission or Full Representation, the whole review fee is credited, so the review is free for everyone who becomes a client. If it finds no line, you have paid 150 € to learn that before spending a thousand or more on records, translations, fees and a package for a case that would not be approved. That is the review doing its job.
